            Use Case

            • The Service Fee support category helps to implement the Fee for Service Model where HCPs are reimbursed on the basis of the number of hours for each service they provide and the Fair Market Value.
            • Service Fee support category is typically used by lifesciences customers within Engage a Consultant request type.

            Key Features

            • Used to define the default Preparation hours, Service hours, and Travel hours for all recipients, which are eventually used for Service Fee calculation.
            • Uses Fair Market Value assigned to a consultant to calculate the total Fee for Service.
            • Gives business users capability to request a one-time exception on the profiled FMV rate for a consultant.
            • Allows business users to provide a Flat Fee based on the type of activity/engagement.

            Things to Note

            • A consultant needs to be profiled before Service Fee support category can be assigned to them.  A consultant can be profiled using FMV Profiling.
            • Business user's have the capability to adjust the overall auto-calculated Service Fee amount. This is mainly used when a Flat Fee needs to be provided to a consultant. Approvers are notified on the UI if the adjusted Service Fee amount is higher than the auto-calculated amount.
            • Default Service Fee calculation involves multiplying the Preparation Hours, Service Hours, Travel Hours, and Additional Travel Hours by the FMV rate of the Consultant.
