How to Submit a Request for FMV Profiling
The overall objective of this feature is to automate the process of determining and assigning an FMV rate to an individual (HCP and non-HCP) in the system.
Note: Depending on your organization’s specifications during our onboarding process the wording of tiles may vary. The instructions below are meant as a general guideline only.
FMV Rates/Service Fee
Note: If you are adding a consultant to a request and assigning a service fee to a consultant who is currently in the process of being FMV profiled, you must add the consultant to your request after your FMV profile is approved or the rate will not be populated.
Accessing FMV Profiling
From the Gateway landing page, access FMV Profiling by selecting either FMV Profiling from the left navigation pane or the corresponding tile on the right.

From the FMV Profiling screen, the user can view their recent activity in the Submissions, Approvals, and Shared with Me tabs.

Once you've entered the FMV Profiling section of the system, depending on your level of privileges, the following actions are possible:
- Users with FMV Profile - Submit privileges can search and view FMV Profiles, create a profile, or reprofile.
- Users with FMV Profile - View Only can only search and view FMV Profiles.
Search & View an Existing FMV Profiles
FMV Profiles of individual HCPs can be searched by Name, Country, Individual Type, FMV Specialty, or FMV Tier.
Note: Search results are returned from your organization's Master Data and Individuals with FMV data saved under Admin → Master Data Management → Individuals → HCP/GO/Other.
If an HCP is not found, it indicates that a request has not yet been created for that HCP. The user must click the "New Profile" button to initiate a new request.

To view an individual FMV Profile, click on the Name in the first column of your search results.

The FMV Profile Card displays the following information (if available):
| 1 | Individual Status, Country, FMV Rate, FMV Specialty, Tier, FMV Effective Date, and Veeva ID |
| 2 | If the User viewing the profile has the reprofile privilege, the reprofile button will be displayed. |
| 3 | Previous Profile Requests |

How to Submit a Request for a New FMV Profile
FMV Profiles of individual HCPs can be searched by Name, Country, Individual Type, FMV Specialty, or FMV Tier.
Note: Search results are returned from your organization's Master Data and Individuals with FMV data saved under Admin → Master Data Management → Individuals → HCP/GO/Other.
If an HCP is not found, it indicates that a FMV profile has not yet been created for that HCP. The user must click the "New Profile" button to initiate a new request.
To minimize duplicate profiles, the New Profile button is only available after the user searches for an Individual with the FMV Profiling screen.
Once the user has confirmed a new profile is necessary, click the New Profile button.

The FMV Profile request screen will open.

Filling Out The Individual Details
Submitters cannot proceed with their request if any required information is missing. If the user leaves the required fields empty, the system will provide feedback, as pictured below.

Individual Type is saved to master data upon request submission and cannot be edited within the request after submission.
(Note: HCP individual type will be applied to all individuals selected from either Veeva or Reltio and cannot be changed within master data. GO (government official) type can be added or removed within master data if it is selected in error. If Other type is selected, both HCP and/or GO can be added or removed within master data. Any changes made within master data will only apply to requests created after the change. See How do I change the recipient type? for more information)
Non-HCP: Depending on your organization's specifications during onboarding, non-HCP Individuals may be added within a New FMV profile request or you may need to contact your master data admin to first add the Individual to master data.
HCP: If your organization uses an MDM provider, such as Veeva or Reltio, the HCP information is pulled from the provider into the FMV profiling request.
Begin typing the name of the Individual into the Full Name box.
Hint: If multiple HCPs have similar names, try searching the Name plus their Country. For example, instead of John Smith, try John Smith United Kingdom. This will narrow the list down further.

Non-HCP: Non-HCP results are returned from your organization's master data.
If the name you need to profile is NOT located in the dropdown list in the Full Name box, the Individual is not in master data. And/or you receive the following error message and are not able to add a new non-HCP within the request, you may need to contact your master data admin to first add the Individual to master data.

If your organization allows for you to create new parties within the request, see further information in this article: How to Create a New Party (Individual) within a Request
HCP Veeva/Reltio: If your organization uses an MDM provider, such as Veeva or Reltio, the HCP information is pulled from the provider into the FMV profiling request.
Note: If your organization uses an MDM provider and you cannot locate an HCP or the HCP's information is incorrect, the HCP information MUST first be added in either Veeva or Reltio.
How to update the address for an HCP coming from Reltio/Veeva
If you receive the following error message and cannot add a new HCP within the request, you may need to contact your compliance team to ensure the HCP is available within the MDM provider's system.

HCP No MDM Provider: If you select HCP and your organization DOES NOT use an MDM provider, available results are returned from your organization's master data where HCP flag is checked. If you cannot not locate the HCP that you need to profile, you may need to to contact your master data admin to confirm the HCP flag is checked in master data or to first add the Individual to master data.
Select the Individual you want to profile from the dropdown list. Information from master data or your MDM provider will be auto-populated into the other fields.

FMV Details
For the system to generate a Recommended FMV Rate, the submitter must enter the following required fields:
- Country (Country will populate from master data if the Individual exists in master data with a country saved)
- Specialty
- Tier
The Recommended FMV Rate currency will default to the Individual’s local currency.

Recommended FMV Rates are populated by the customer's FMV reference table provided during onboarding. If the user enters a Country, Specialty, and/or Tier that does not exist in the system, the system will populate the Recommended FMV Rate to 0. If the value is 0, the submitter can enter a proposed amount for review.
Once the Recommended FMV Rate appears, the submitter can enter a Proposed FMV Rate for the Individual.
Note: Depending on your organization’s specifications during our onboarding process, additional questions may appear if the user enters a Proposed FMV Rate higher than the maximum recommended rate.

Uploading Files
For requests requiring attachments, a user can add files to the request by clicking the Add File(s) button. Multiple files can be uploaded for a single question.
Note: Executable files or files larger than 50 megabytes cannot be submitted.

Click Reprofile to begin the request.
