Request History & Version Comparison
Table of Contents
Request History
A request's history is tracked as soon as it is created. Request history can be viewed by clicking the Clock Icon located within the Request Details box.

Actions taken by the submitter, approvers, and/or admins for this request are shown, and a timestamp is included for when the action was taken.

Any comments the submitter or approver added are displayed in gray boxes below the action.

If the request includes recipient(s), you can click the Down Arrow next to certain actions, and the recipient(s) name will be displayed.

After clicking the Down Arrow, the recipient(s) name is displayed.

Request Version Comparison
Request Version Comparison allows users to view and compare historical changes within a request.
Note: The Request Version Comparison tool is available to all users in both submitter and approver views of a request.
Note: Version comparison is only available on requests created after this feature was released to production (August 2023).
A checkbox is displayed to the left of each action listed in the Request History. (Note: Actions completed before this feature being implemented will not have a checkbox and are not available for version comparison.)

To compare versions, the user must select two checkboxes. Then click Compare.
Note: Some actions recorded in the Request History do not affect the content of the questionnaire and, as a result, will not display a checkbox for version comparison.
If the questionnaire version has no differences from the prior version, the version comparison checkbox will not appear in the Request History.
Examples of such actions include:
- Approver Reassigned – Updates related to approver changes.
- Approver Blocked Third Party Organization – Actions blocking a third-party organization.
These actions are still captured in the Request History for audit and tracking purposes but do not trigger a version update for comparison.

From there, the Request Revision Comparison page will open in a new tab.
Depending on the request type, there may be one or more tabs at the beginning of the request details. Using the key in the upper right-hand corner, the user can determine which fields of the request were removed, added, or unchanged.

When viewing the Request Version Comparison page for third-party management and multi-recipient requests, a Number Badge will be displayed next to the tab title. This number indicates the total number of changes on that particular tab.
