Screening
Use Case
- The Lextegrity application integrates with select screening partners via API to help meet clients due diligence screening obligations to search sanctions, watchlist, PEP and adverse media sources.
- Screening enables tenants to screen the recipients within the request or outside of the request.
Key Features
- Integrates with screening providers via API to present screening results within the application and allow Approvers to review screening results directly in the Lextegrity application.
- Customers are required to contract directly with the screening provider and provide the appropriate API to Lextegrity.
- Privilege based access.
- Helps approvers make informed decisions by having all relevant information organized in one place.
- Document the narrative before taking action on the screening results.
- Full audit trail with a detailed history of screening and confirmed actions for a screened entity.
- Screening results are carried forward in requests if a recipient is engaged in multiple requests.
- Capability to screen fields within the request and also perform ad hoc screening on an individual or an organization.
- Enable ongoing screening for an individual or organization to ensure approvers are informed about any updates on a previously screened entity.
- Capability to perform bulk screening outside of the request. Results of bulk screening are carry forward in requests in which the recipient is added.
Things to Know / Configurations
- Lextegrity integrates with two screening providers: LSEG (fka Refinitiv) (our preferred partner) and RDC.
- Tenants have the capability to decide for which request type they want to turn on screening. They can also choose which fields to be screened within a request.
- Screening results can be used in the configuration of Approver Flow, triggering additional approvers to take action on requests if screening matches are found.
- For ongoing screening through Refinitiv, the default setting is for our system to make a call to LSEG once a day for updated screening Results. This setting can be configured by the customer through LSEG to change how often the call is made.
- For LSEG, our system is currently developed to allow LSEG Screening results based on the Match Strength value (Exact, Strong, and Medium) but not on the Match Score value (the Match threshold value from 0 to 100).
- Ongoing screening can be configured to screen certain fields in a request, while other fields will only be subject to a one-time screening.
Additional Configuration
Limiting Screening Results by Name + Country
Screening results returned through either RDC or Refinitiv can be limited by Name only or by Name and the Country of the screened party.
If the Name and Country feature is enabled, instead of receiving results for all countries, returned results are filtered based on the country sent to the screening provider.
In this example, the country for the screened party is the United States.

The returned results are only for the US.

Results by Name only: If a tenant has a screening configuration that excludes country (only name) then only the name of the party is sent to the screening provider for any screening type: Ad Hoc Screening, Bulk Screening, Ongoing Screening, and/or In-Request Screening.
Results by Name + Country: If a tenant has a screening configuration that includes name and country then both the name and country of the party is sent to the screening provider for any screening type: Ad Hoc Screening, Bulk Screening, Ongoing Screening, and/or In-Request Screening.
What if the party doesn't have a country? If the screened party doesn’t have a country (either from Master Data or the BRQ) then only the name is sent to the screening provider. Returned results will include all countries. This includes Ad Hoc Screening, Bulk Screening, Ongoing Screening, and/or In-Request Screening.
RDC Configuration
For non-global search (by name and country) RDC ignores the country attribute for some high risk codes: FOF, FOS, IRC*, MLA, TER, SNX*, WLT.
Refinitiv Configuration
If configured for name and country, for Individuals, results are filtered based on the Nationality country. Displayed results only include matches where the Nationality country matches the party’s country.
If configured for name and country, for Organizations, results based on the Registration Country. Displayed results only include matches where the Registration Country of the matched profile is the same as the registration country of the party.
