CC Email Notifications
Use Case
Some organizations may want to CC certain email notifications to an individual or group, without adding them to each request. In turn, you can use these email notifications to trigger a process. For example, you can notify the:
- Contracting team when a request and its recipients are fully approved, so the contract process can get started.
- Legal team when a contribution request is approved.
- SAP team when a Third-Party engagement is approved in the system, so an ERP ID can be assigned to the approved Third-Party.
Email Address
For each request type, the Lextegrity team can configure which email addresses should receive and be copied on notifications. For example, if your contracting group shares an email inbox, like “contracting@email.com”, we can set the “Request is Fully Approved” email notification for the External Funding request type to CC “contracting@email.com”, in addition to sending the notification directly to approvers. The system will send the same notification to all designated email addresses. See a list of all email notifications in Email Templates.
When configuring the CC list for an email template, you must specify the exact email addresses to be copied. The system cannot CC notifications dynamically. For instance, the system cannot automatically CC the last approver or business owner of a request. Instead, the Lextegrity team can configure notifications to copy a specific individual, such as your organization's compliance manager, or a shared email inbox.
