Use Case
Conflict of Interest Disclosure is used to request advice on whether a situation presents a potential conflict of interest.

- Conflict of Interest Disclosure only has one section that covers all the details of the conflict.
Things to Note
• Submitting
- A Business user has the capability to choose from a wide variety of conflict categories and provide details for the specific type of conflict being disclosed.
- This request allows Business Users to disclose one conflict per request, giving them opportunity to provide details related to the disclosure and also gives the approvers an opportunity to take separate actions on each type of disclosure. Multiple disclosures can not be disclosed in a single Conflict of Interest Disclosure request.
- A disclosure can also be retired by an individual if a previously disclosed and approved/cleared conflict is not a conflict anymore.
- Changes can be made after the disclosure is approved. However, that will require the disclosure to be re-approved by all approvers based on the workflow configuration.
- Initially selected approvers can not be changed at the time of re-submitting the disclosure.
• Approving
- Approvers have the capability to Reject a disclosure, Clear Conflict, or confirm No Conflict.
- Approvers also have the ability to request for more information from the submitter during the approval process. In such instances, the disclosure needs to be re-submitted by the submitter after the updates have been made. Depending on the approval workflow configuration, the disclosure will go back to the same approver for review or the approval workflow can be initiated from the beginning.
• Oversight
- At the time of reviewing a disclosure, Approvers have the visibility into the list of all previous disclosures made by the business user.
- Previously disclosed and approved/cleared conflicts are also made available for review in the Annual Campaign Certification module.
