Use Case
Tasks feature give business users capability to collaborate with other users for guidance, delegation of activities, provide conditional approvals, document post event activities or assign critical engagement tasks, like Renewals, to other business users within the application.
Key Features
- A task can be assigned to any individual within the organization.
- A task can be linked to a request or can be created ad hocly within the application.
- Due dates can be set so that the Assignee is reminded of an uncompleted task as it approaches the due date.
- Email notifications are triggered once a task is assigned or completed or any other action is taken on it by the assignee or the assigner.

Different task types and task categories can be configured by request type and for ad-hoc tasks.
- For example, Engage requests can have a different set of task types and categories than a Conflict of Interest or Third-Party Due Diligence request. An ad-hoc task category can have a different set of task types from a mitigation task type and so on.
- Task types can also be configured by task categories.

Configurations/Things to Note
- A task can only be assigned to a single individual.
- The fields within the task assignment view will remain the same regardless of the type or category of the task.
- Once a task is completed, only Assigner or a task admin can reopen the task

Any changes to existing task types or categories will impact all historical tasks.
- If a new task type and/or category is added, any historical tasks that are updated will be updated to include the new task type and/or category.
- If a task type and/or category is removed altogether, any historical tasks where a user updates the task type or category will need to be assigned a new task type and/or category.
- Mitigation category can not be removed as it triggers the conditional approval feature on request.
- EDD must still be a category type for tenants with Enhanced Due Diligence configured.
