Approver Flow
Once submitted, a request enters the approval workflow. The approval workflow is defined by your organization during the onboarding process.
How do I find the Approval Flow for a request?
Within a request, click on the Request Status within the request details box. In the example below, the request is In Progress. See Request Status, Activity Status, & Recipient Status for more information on status types.

Once clicked, a detailed view of the Approval Workflow will be displayed in the pop-up window.
Depending on whether the request has recipient(s) or not, the approval flow will be displayed differently. In the example below, the request included 5 recipients.

| 1 | Request Status | The overall Request Status is In Progress because it is not fully approved. |
| 2 | Activity Status | In this example, because a mitigation task was added and the activity was approved, the status is Approved with Conditions. |
| 3 | Recipient Status | Total recipients approved in this request is 2. |
| 4 | Bob Glosser | The first recipient has been submitted for approval, but Melissa Adams has not yet approved the recipient. |
| 5 | Kevin Johnson | An update was initiated. In order to determine who initiated the update the user would need to view the Request History. |
| 6 | John Smith/ Robert Johnson | Both John and Robert have been fully approved. |
| 7 | Ivanna Halmuca | In this example, the submitter canceled Ivanna after she was fully approved. |
Recipient Approver Flow
As described above, a detailed recipient approver flow can be accessed by clicking on the request status or it can be accessed by clicking on the request status directly from the recipient(s) table within the request.
Click on the Status from the recipient table.

A detailed approver flow for that recipient will open.

Another way to find the Approval Flow for the request is to click on the Request Status in the far right column of either the Submission tab, Approvals tab, or View All Requests.

If the request has no recipient(s), the Approver Flow will be displayed similar to the example below.
In this example, Ramona is the first approver. Once Ramona approves the request, it will move to Melissa to approve.

If Ramona approves the request, but Melissa rejects the request, the request will be moved to Rejected status and Ramona will be notified that Melissa rejected it.
If either one of the Approvers or the Submitter initiates an update, the circle on the current approver will change to a black circle with a bent arrow to indicate a pending update.

The update pending symbol next to the manager's name in the first approval step means that the update was initiated at that step. In order to find out who initiated the update request you must go to the Request History.
