            FAQ

In Integrity Gateway, submissions for requests, activities, recipients, and questionnaires are now handled in the background to improve system performance and reduce errors. This change means that when users submit or resubmit any of these items—whether it's an initial request, a new recipient added to an existing one, or an update to a previous entry—the system no longer processes the action immediately in the foreground. Instead, it shifts the task to a background job, allowing users to continue working without waiting or risking timeouts.

Once a submission is made, the request and relevant components move into a Processing status, indicated by an orange spinner

During this time, the UI for that request is locked for all users, including admins, submitters, approvers, and collaborators. Actions such as editing, printing, or deleting are disabled to prevent conflicts while the system handles workflows like risk scoring, approval routing, email notifications, and task creation. A spinning orange icon appears next to the item to show that processing is underway.

Any requests in Processing status will not be included in Reporting Insights dashboards, since this is an intermediate status.

            When processing completes successfully:

            • If the submitter is still on the request page and the processing completes, the user will be prompted to reload the page to see the updated status
            • The status will automatically change from Processing to in Progress/Awaiting Approval or Completed/Recorded.
            • The status will be updated in real time on the Requests tables (My Submissions, My Approvals, Shared with me, All Request table etc.)
              • In this case, only the status gets updated on the table in real time. In order for the other fields to populate (like expiration date), the user will need to refresh/reload their page.

            FAQ

What elements can have a processing status?

            • All submissions for requests (initial submission), activities, recipients and questionnaire can have a processing status.
            • When a request is initially submitted, the activity, all recipient(s) and the request status will be in Processing status.
            • If a new recipient is being submitted, or an existing recipient is being resubmitted, only those recipient(s) being submitted/resubmitted will have a Processing status, as well as the Request status will reflect as Processing. All other recipient(s) and the activity will remain in their current statuses.
            • If an activity is being resubmitted, only the activity and request status will show as Processing status. Any recipient(s) will remain in their current status.
            • DDQ questionnaires can also have a processing status when submitted by a Third Party Contact user.

What happens if my request fails to submit?

            • In rare cases, if the submission fails to process, the request status will automatically update from Processing back to its previous status (Draft or Update Pending/In Progress). Our support team is notified and will proactively investigate the issue and contact the end user to track the resolution.

How are COIs within the Campaign request handled?

            • The COI status will be automatically updated, so you do not need to reload the page to see the status change to In Progress. All the COI requests must be processed before the Campaign request can be submitted.
