Process Summary Dashboard
Table of Contents
The Process Summary dashboard provides information on your approval process to help identify opportunities to improve the approval workflow or any approval steps that are stuck with an approver.
Note: while the rest of the Integrity Gateway displays timestamps based on your browser location, timestamps in Reporting Insights are in UTC. This means that you may see discrepancies between the time shown in Insights and the rest of the system.
| Name | Definition |
|---|---|
| Turn Time | The total amount of time it takes to complete the approvals for a request from the initial submission date to the final approval in days. Only Complete requests are used in this calculation. |
| Step Time | The amount of time it takes to complete an individual approval step in days. Both Completed and Pending requests are used in this calculation. |
| Current or Step 0 | Approvals that are currently sitting with the approver waiting for action. |
| Days Aged | The number of days that an approval was with an approver before being completed. Note: if an approver requests an update, Days Aged will continue to increase as the request is still at that approver's step. |

Filters
Click the Hamburger Icon in the top right of the dashboard to apply filters, such as:
- Request
- Submitter
- Approver
- Collaborations

If you want to view steps in a specific range, click the dropdown icon beside the Days Aged filter and select Values in Range. This will limit the results to only steps in the range and exclude any steps that have not aged yet.
If you want to view all upcoming steps, including those that have not aged yet, change the dropdown to All Values or Values in Range and Null Values.

Blank Option in Step Name Filter
You can use the Step Name filter in Approvers to filter the dashboard for requests in a workflow step.
The system also records when users are added or removed as collaborators. To filter for collaborations, select the blank option in the Step Name filter.

You can use the following filters for Approver Collaborations:
- Assigner.
- Assignee.
-
Workflow Role: filters editor vs. approver collaboration.
- Note: this filter will include blank values for requests that do not have any collaboration.
-
System Assigned: filters automated approval collaborations.
- Note: this filter will include blank values for requests that do not have any collaboration.
- Submitter is Approver: filters requests where the submitter is also an approver.
- Collaborator Took Action: filters requests where an approver collaborator took action.

How Do I Find Both Manually and Automated Assigned Approval Collaborators for a User?
- For manually assigned approval collaborations, select the user's email address in the Assigner filter. In the screenshot below, selecting "akleinmeyer@caseiq.com" would filter for approval collaborations manually assigned to this user.
- For automated assigned approval collaborations, look for the Assigner filter option with the user's email address after “System User”. In the screenshot below, selecting "System User (akleinmeyer@caseiq.com)" would filter for automatically assigned approval collaborations.
- To find both, select the email address and System User options for the user in the Assigner filter.

Info Icon
Hovering over the Info Icon in the top left will show the last time Insights was updated along with other information about the dashboard.

Collaborations Visual
The Collaborations visual shows how often a user (Assigner) has added a collaborator and who they added as a collaborator (Assignee).

For automated approver collaborators, you will see “System User” before the Assigner's email.

Clicking a specific Assigner in the Collaborations visual will filter the Approvals Listing table (at the bottom of the dashboard) to show the specific requests they assigned to collaborators.

Approval Map
You will see the following icons in the Approval Map:
| Action | Icon |
|---|---|
| Rejected |
|
| Approval |
|
| Current Approval Step |
|
| Future Approval Step |
|
| Future Approval Step (10+ steps away) |
|
| Add Collaborator |
|
| Remove Collaborator |
|
| Step No Longer Needed |
|
If you hover over icons in the Steps Away column of the Approval Map table, you can see details about the step.

The Approval Map will have separate lines for Collaborators, Activity, and Party. For multi-recipient requests, the Recipient Name column lists each recipient, the approver, and each workflow status. For single-recipient request types, the Recipient Name will be “N/A”.
Note: by default, canceled requests and recorded recipients are excluded.

Approvals Listing
For the Approvals Listing table, you can click a request ID to see more options. You can load the request's details in a new tab by clicking Click Here to See This Request in the Application in the pop-up.

Exporting Data
How do I export or download data from Reporting Insights?
Several icons are located at the bottom of each dashboard. See more information on these options and how they work in the chart below.

Pause updates to the dashboard. This is useful if there are a number of filters that you want to enter without the dashboard updating in between each. |

When you pause update, the button changes to the resume button. Click the Resume button to apply any filters that were changed while updates were paused. |

Save or view custom views. For example, if you need to routinely filter the Transaction Country to only Canada, you can apply that filter on the dashboard and then click this button to save it as a custom view. Then, you can set it as your default view, so, whenever you load the saved view in the dashboard, it is filtered to Canada by default. If you create multiple custom views, use this button to cycle between them. Note: While Custom Views are a convenient way to save your filter and view settings for future use, they are not guaranteed to persist across future dashboard updates. We recommend using them as a helpful tool for short-term convenience rather than a permanent or critical workflow component. To ensure continuity, please consider documenting key filter selections to reference in the event that they need to be recreated. |
